BARRIERS ACOUSTIC (NOISE PROTECTION SYSTEMS URBAN)

Under its conception specialization area, manufacture, commercialization and installation of noise barriers, the companies of the Farcimar Group were involved during the year 2013 in several works in Portugal, which highlights the installing works of noise barriers of the Line of Sintra for REFER, E.P.E. and conception and Iistalling noise barriers of Mem de Sá Street (2ªcircular) to the Municipality of Lisbon.

The work of conception and installation of noise barriers in Mem de Sá Street, near Bairro Fonsecas e Calçadas, 2ª circular characterized and differs from the total use of precast concrete (lateral support pillars, acoustic panels and New Jerseys). The barrier with about 950m2 porous concrete panels were installed with absorbent characteristics of the side of the road, interspersed with transparent acrylic panels, supported on the basis of New Jerseys beams and side pillars of reinforced concrete. The landscaping of the work was ensured by coloring structure which was based on the colors of the existing flora on site.The manufacture and supply of precast elements was the responsibility of Farcimar, S.A. and the assembly was in charge of Arouconstroi, S.A. The work was carried out using the full cut the right way, and one of the major obstacles to its execution was the intense road movement that daily checks that important route of Lisbon, therefore it should be noted the very active and key role of the security department in the completion of the work.

The work in Sintra line was performed by Arouconstroi, SA for REFER, EPE and had as objective the reduction of environmental noise generated by the circulation of rail traffic in order to improve the acoustic comfort close to the houses of Urbanization of Sports City of Massamá. The location of the work was the major obstacle found the execution of the construction, with all the characteristics of a rail line infrastructure, which forced a deployment, constant and rigorous security measures.

Panels were installed with absorbent characteristics of aluminum with 3.0m height over 238m in length, with a total of 714m2 of protection. Was installed an upstream structure consisting of HEB140 profiles, based on deep foundations through piles with 0.30 m in diameter and 2.20m deep.
